We are looking for a Lab Technician ELISA to support the Seed Health laboratory team in preparing and processing seed samples for quality testing.

Where will you be working?

You will join Monsanto, an international and innovative company located in Bergschenhoek, specializing in the development and production of vegetable seeds. This site focuses on improving crop varieties and testing cultivation methods to support sustainable agriculture.

What will you be doing?

As a Lab Technician ELISA, you will support routine Seed Health testing. Your main task will be preparing seed samples – a repetitive, yet crucial step in the lab process.

Your responsibilities include:

• Collecting, counting, and preparing vegetable seed samples
• Using LIMS, Microsoft Office, and internal systems
• Following procedures related to quality (ISO/ISTA) and phytosanitary standards
• Performing routine maintenance tasks to maintain lab certifications
• Supporting colleagues during testing processes
• Contributing to a safe and positive work environment (HSE-compliant)

Training Period

The training period will take approximately 2 weeks and covers basic tasks such as seed counting, grinding, and handling sample bags.

What do you bring?

• MBO level 4 (or higher) in a relevant field
• No specific experience required, but accuracy and integrity are essential
• Comfortable performing repetitive tasks
• Familiarity with Microsoft Office; experience with LabVantage is a plus
• Good command of the English language (spoken and written)
• Team-oriented, proactive, and quality-focused
• Willingness to work in a dynamic and fast-paced environment
